Back when I was pregnant with Silas and didn't know his gender, I dubbed him Bug...Baby Bug. At that time, I was hoping that HE was a SHE. Even after the ultrasound when the doctor said he saw "boy parts", I secretly hoped that he was wrong and I would have make an emergency run to Good Will for everything pink.
So, one day at the playground with the other two boys I was feeling sorry for myself when I saw something pink. I picked it up and it was an abandoned bib. I thought surely it was a sign that the babe in my belly was in fact a girl.
I grabbed the bib and read, "Love Bug".
I was stunned. The bib was in fact a "sign", but not the one I thought. My baby was clearly telling me to love him/her for the bug he/she was. Of course, that message may not have come across to any one but me, but it was for ME!! And I got the message.
So, a couple of days before Valentine's Day this year, I was at the store, looking for Valentine's for my boys, not really thinking of Silas. I found something for Isaac, then something for Noah and the next thing I saw was this box of candy that said "Love Bug". There were no other boxes around it with this message.
I got the message Sy baby...I love you.
